Does the owner count for Saudization?
Yes. If the owner is a Saudi national and registered in GOSI, they count as 1 Saudi employee, which is often enough for small businesses to be Green.
Is there a grace period for new companies?
Yes. New companies typically get a 12-month grace period where they are automatically rated “Medium Green” to allow setup and hiring.
Can I use Ajeer to improve my rating?
Ajeer allows you to borrow services, but it does not directly increase your Nitaqat percentage. You must hire Saudis directly on your GOSI file.
